Wow lots of stuff to write about!
First of all: Sasquatch was lots of fun. I'll try to streamline what I write about it.
Death Cab for Cutie = totally cool.
Modest Mouse: I like their music, but their fans are the most annoying people in the entire universe. Never in my life have I ever seen a larger gathering of stupid annoying people.
Jurassic Five = awesome. Their DJs did some really cool stuff too.
The Flaming Lips = ROCK ASS. Their show was hilarious. Lots of people on stage in animal costumes dancing (including Chris Walla and Ben Gibbard) and gigantic balloons filled with confetti. Wayne Coyne (the lead singer) also sang happy birthday to some people while smearing fake blood on his face. The best part of their set though was watching Chris Walla doing the Peanut's christmas special dance with the intensity of an overly hyper 3rd grader while dressed up as a bunny.
Coldplay was great also, but throughout their set all I could think of was getting something to drink. I had been standing in about a 2x2 area from 4 until 11. My legs were in a lot of pain and I was very thirsty. Had I wanted to get a drink I wouldn't have been able to make my way out.
The Gorge is such an awesome venue, it's too bad it's so damn far away.
On the way back we saw the Radiohead Hail to the Thief van on the freeway and pulled up next to them and yelled at them to throw us CDs because it looked like they had the There There single on the dashboard. Turns out they didn't but we kept following them anyway just incase. Eventually the two people driving it (two women) got really scared and started trying to lose us. Only then did we realize that we were probably really scaring them. Oops...
I wish I was on the Radiohead street team. Boo. I'd like to say that if I was I would've stopped for me and my friends, unlike those two people, but then again it's understandable that they would be afraid of a bunch of rabid Radiohead fans...
I went to Red Robin today for Kenny's birthday. Had lots of strawberry lemonade with lots of extra strawberries. Mmm, but I've eaten way too much today and am so full.
Hmmm, there's a lot more to write about but I desperately need to take a shower. Bye.
