Okay, here comes my first
Okay, here comes my first real post in awhile. I got all caught up in the media frenzy that's surrounded J. Lo and Ben's latest flick Gigli. Who knows what it'll be like when Kevin Smith's Jersey Girl preps itself to hit theaters. It's going to be insane!
Yeah... anyway...
It's been really hot here lately! I think it's been in the upper 80s every day this week if I'm not mistaken and it's even hotter in my room! My room is crappy because the sun shines in it all day and even if I leave the window open air doesn't circulate well because the door is perpendicular to the window. You're probably asking "why don't you just use a/c?" well, I'll tell you. Almost nobody in the Seattle area uses a/c in their homes!
I have a fan running all day but it's still just awful. The rest of the house is hot too but my room is especially bad. Right now it's a little better because a breeze is actually starting to make its way into my room via the window that's been wide open all day but is only now making itself useful. The fan going at full blast directly to my left is a nice addition as well.
I haven't worked recently which isn't good because I only have $15... that's including everything in my checking account... Spending all that money on Radiohead tickets finally caught up with me but I'm not really in any hurry to get the money from people I got tickets to the New York shows for. That money will be put to better use once I'm back in New York. If I were to somehow get it now I'd just waste it all. I guess I better ask my dad for more hours...
Starting this Saturday my dad's best friend from Korea is coming to visit. Him and his family are staying at our house for TWO WEEKS! That's a long time. He has two sons (14 and 15 years old) and my brother and I basically have to hang out with them for those two weeks. The one good thing that comes out of this is that the guy is soon going to be one of the richest people in Korea apparently. My dad and him are close enough that getting funding for short films in the future will be a lot easier as long as if I can manage to not get the two kids killed while showing them a good time.
Originally they were supposed to show up today but the apartment their dad is building in Korea had some issues so they had to delay the flight a couple days. At least this frees up a couple more days for me.
I've been trying to write lately, hoping to at least get a rough short film written but I can't think of anything. My brain is a wasteland for creative ideas and it's incredibly frustrating. I've got a couple that are incredibly rough but I can't flesh them out to the point that I can start writing them out. I should just lock myself in a box and spend some time thinking... If anybody has an creative ideas please forward them to me.
In other news, the Lim/Sanchez (me and
Oh yeah, in the live journal community NYU, I jokingly asked if anybody was living in Lafayette room 1607 because that's where I'm living. I already know everybody living there so I wasn't expecting much in terms of surprises but I did get one reply that went a little like this: "I've seen your room and it kicks some ass. I'm in Laf right now, and in the fall, and your room is better than mine. I'm gonna come visit. :-D" Hell yeah, this was by an anonymous poster but hopefully he or she is telling the truth and our room kicks ass. I mean, of course it's going to kick ass considering the people living there, but maybe it'll kick even more ass then previously thought...?
Why is my friend trying to persuade me to go see American Wedding with him... he should know me better then that...

I'm stumped.
Well, that's all for now, I can't think of anything else to write. Wait, no I can.
Mogwai is playing at Irving Plaza on September 6th. They're such an awesome band. If you enjoy G!YBE (Godspeed! You Black Emperor for all of you not in the know... and shame on you if you're not) you'll most likely enjoy these guys too. They're very very good at what they do and that's rocking. Uh huh.
Okay, that last section was weird and made be sound like such a snob. Oh well, it's time to play some CounterStrike. Seeya.
