She was beautiful... but she didn't mean a thing to me...
Today I had another long day of Sight & Sound: Video which is a fun class but the instructor for our tech session doesn't know what she's doing and also seems to dislike me and Jimmy.
I got some DVDs in the mail today!
I got the Lee Chang Dong Collection. Lee Chang Dong is one of the best filmmakers alive in Korea right now and is also the minister of culture there. He directed Oasis which I think is probably the second best Korean film I've ever seen and that film along with Green Fish and Peppermint Candy are included in the set. There's also a two disc set with information about the films.
I also got the film Save the Green Planet, another Korean film. Very good.
Unfortunately, I can't really watch these since they're region coded and my region free DVD player doesn't arrive until Thursday... Once that arrives I think I might need to get a TV for my room so I can watch movies. It's way too loud in common room.
I might just have to do indulge myself in some fine Korean filmmaking once that damn DVD player finally arrives. I can't wait.
Oh yeah, I also set up my NetFlix account yesterday to mail stuff to the dorm and not to home. Here's my rental queue so far...
