Second to last day at Pfizer.
I've been at work for an hour and seven minutes now. I have two or three left today and then three or four on Monday. After that, I'm having sushi with my bosses on Thursday and then it's over. My boss is trying to get his boss to approve an extension for me but he's not sure if it's going to work out.
I have an interview with the publishing department at American Express (I didn't even know one existed until recently) on Tuesday. Hopefully that works out and I'll spend the rest of my summer working on Food and Wine Magazine's website. My boss at Pfizer is considering bringing me back in the fall if he does get the extension approved. That would be perfect. I could work at Amex all summer then go back to Pfizer in the fall. Of course all that working just goes straight towards paying my rent... *sigh*
The internet at our apartment is hella slow and hella whack. I even e-mailed them and complained. They said they were "working on it."
I suspect that next week I will be enjoying my first days of unemployment. Hopefully it won't last too long...
In other news. I watched Powell and Pressburger's "The Red Shoes." It's a little cheesy at times but overall a really really great film. Michael Powell is the director of "Peeping Tom" and although this movie is very different I think I might've liked it better. But, "Peeping Tom" is a pretty bad ass movie.
"Serpico" and "Notre Musique" are now on their way to my apartment. I love Netflix.
